The Ghana Business & Disability Network (GBDN) launched the maiden edition of Career Connect
With the support of Sightsavers Ghana and our member companies, we launched Career Connect, an event designed to equip persons with disabilities with employability and entrepreneurship skills. Through practical sessions on CV preparation and interview readiness, participants were empowered with essential skills to succeed in the job market.

A Powerful Step Forward for Inclusive Employment
With the support of Sightsavers Ghana, the Ghana Federation of Disability Organisations (GFD), and our committed member companies – Standard Chartered Ghana PLC, Nestlé CWA, Telecel Ghana, Notepad Consult, Challenges Ghana, British Council Ghana, British High Commission Accra/FCDO, Ashesi University and many more, we created a space where opportunities were not only discussed — they were activated.
Over the two days, we delivered targeted workshops on personal branding, digital presence, entrepreneurship, interview skills, and confidence building, facilitated rich employer–candidate interactions that opened doors for networking, internships, and job opportunities, showcased best practices from organizations championing disability inclusion and welcomed employers who reaffirmed that inclusion is not just good for society — it is good for business.
